Meet the Picture Perfect Queen Anne Board

Margaret Okamoto, President

Little did I know when I visited the Seattle World’s Fair as a teen that I would one day make Seattle’s Queen Anne Hill my home. And I could never have predicted I would help write a funding proposal that would introduce me to amazing merchants, residents, and organizations committed to bringing a shared vision for Queen Anne Avenue to fruition. As Board President, I oversee the work the Board does to be good stewards of the community-created Queen Anne Avenue Streetscape Master Plan and care for the gardens along Queen Anne Avenue at Galer, Boston, and McGraw. After almost 20 years I still find myself overcome by the generosity and dedication of my neighbors as we work together to keep the gardens flourishing and our hilltop community a special and welcoming place to live.

Judy Massong

My name is Judy Massong, formerly an attorney for many years and a former nurse.

Though I no longer live in the neighborhood, I remain an ardent supporter of Picture Perfect Queen Anne (PPQA), as a donor, a Board member and volunteer gardener.

A day in the gardens between Gayler and McGraw with fellow neighborhood volunteers is a GREAT DAY.   I feel good about the work PPQA does to ensure Queen Anne Ave. remains pedestrian -and family-friendly, environmentally resilient, vibrant and welcoming to all.

Denny Bird, Treasurer

I spent 25 years working as a project manager for capital projects at Verizon (and its predecessor GTE).

I’ve lived on QA since 1994, and since retiring from my professional career in 2003, I’ve enjoyed going to the dog park nearly every morning, remodeling projects, gardening and traveling.

Ellen Monrad, Vice President

I am a 40 plus resident of Queen Anne.  I have been active in various groups over the years including Queen Anne Community Council, Queen Anne Helpliine and Queen Anne Little League.  I am currently volunteering at the Foodbank at Sacred Heart Church.

Serving on the board of Picture Perfect Queen Anne is a pleasure.  It helps my goal of always doing good things for the Queen Anne Community.

Laura Corvi, Secretary

I have lived in Seattle and Bellevue my whole life and I moved to Queen Anne in 2016 shortly after retiring from a long career at the Boeing Company. I am a graduate of WSU and completed my MBA at Seattle Pacific University.

I have enjoyed becoming part of the community joining the Queen Anne Community Council Board of Trustees 2017 to 2023 and the Board of Picture Perfect Queen Anne.

In my spare time I enjoy tap dancing, attending arts and museums in the city and working on the gardens and streetscape of the neighborhood with Picture Perfect Queen Anne.
